AFL great Michael Voss will take over the reins as Carlton coach after being handed a three-season deal by the Blues.
Voss moves from his role as an assistant with Port Adelaide to replace David Teague, who was sacked by Carlton after the 2021 season.
After captaining the Brisbane Lions to premierships in 2001, 2002, and 2003, Voss retired in 2006.
He took over from Leigh Matthews as Lions coach in 2009, leading the team for five more seasons, with only his first ending in a positive winning record.
After leaving the Lions in 2013, Voss moved into an assistant coaching role at Port Adelaide to get some more experience in the box, before Carlton snapped him up.
The 46-year-old said he felt “incredibly excited and very privileged” to be given another shot in the top job.
“It is truly a great honour to join a club as big and as proud as Carlton, and I take on this role with a great sense of pride and excitement for what’s to come,” he said in a statement.
“From the outside looking in, I think everyone can see the undeniable talent on the playing list, which I’m really looking forward to getting to work with. To go with that, there’s a massive, loyal supporter base that has stood by this football club for a long time.
“We all now have the ability to embrace this reset stage and look forward together. A united football club is a high-performing football club, and I want every Carlton member and supporter to know that myself, the staff and the players will leave no stone unturned to make that happen.”
